Why Does It Matter for the Exam?

  1. Launch and ministry: 2013 and Ministry of Culture
  2. Sites and states: Sabarmati and Porbandar in Gujarat, Sevagram and Pune in Maharashtra, Champaran in Bihar
  3. Event matching: Dandi March 1930, Champaran 1917, Aga Khan Palace detention
  4. Scheme type: central sector scheme
  5. Common error: placing Sevagram in Gujarat or Aga Khan Palace in Delhi

As an analytical point, sites of the freedom struggle are heritage of recent memory, and need both physical care and interpretation for young visitors. The mission works best when local trusts, schools and museums keep the stories alive.
